Prof. Dr. Gamze AKBULUT completed her under- and postgraduate, education at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Hacettepe University. She worked as a research assistant in the same department between 1999-2007 and as a physician dietitian at Hacettepe University Oncology Hospital between 2007-2009. She worked as a faculty member in the Dietetics Department of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Gazi University between 2009-2023. She served as Department Head, Erasmus Coordinator, Vice Department Head, Head of Dietetics Department in the same department, and Deputy Director of the Gazi University Health Sciences Institute. As of October 1, 2023, she started to work as the department head in the Turkish and English departments at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Istanbul Kent University. Her field of study is Medical Nutrition Therapy in Adult Diseases. Her areas of interest are; Endocrine and Cardiometabolic Diseases, Eating Behavior Disorders, Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition, Oncological Diseases and Medical Nutrition Therapy in Gastrointestinal System Diseases and has many national and international articles, proceedings, book editorships and book chapters published in this field.
