Specialist Dietitian Begümhan Ömeroğlu Gülada

Specialist Dietetian Begümhan Ömeroğlu Gülada graduated from Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences Ankara University with a degree in June 2013. Thereafter she started working as a dietician at Tekirdağ Public Health Directorate, Çorlu Community Health Center between 2013-2015. She has carried out numerous projects with copartner protocols made with the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and the General Directorate of Security. She worked as a dietitian on assignment in Nursing Homes and Child Protection Institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Family and Social Policies. Specialist, who completed her English language education at ITU School of Foreign Languages in 2015. In the same year, she started working as a research assistant at Balikesir University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her master's degree at Marmara University, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, in 2018. In 2018, she started her doctoral education at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the same university. She took part in Maternal and Child Nutrition, Medical Nutritional Therapy in Pediatric Diseases, Community Health and Epidemiology and Community Service Practices courses. She has publications or projects on maternal and child nutrition, nutrition in childhood diseases, experimental animal models, antioxidant mechanisms, anti-inflammatory mechanisms, biotechnology, food chemistry, functional food product development, in vitro, in vivo and clinical studies in inflammatory bowel diseases, phenolic compounds, antimetabolic activity, antidiabetic activity. Ömeroğlu Gülada carried out studies on phenolic compounds and functional foods with in vitro gastrointestinal system simulation at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin Poland, Food Sciences and Biotechnology, with Erasmus+ PhD student mobility in 2019 and 2021. At the end of 2021, she was awarded the TÜBİTAK 2214A PhD Abroad Research Scholarship and developed a functional food product to be added in the diets of patients with ulcerative colitis at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in 2022. She studied at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin Poland for about a year, developed projects and published publications with cooperation. She is a member of the Turkish Dietetics Association, Pediatric Dietitians Association, Turkish Physiological Sciences Association and a volunteer of TEMA. The languages actively used are English (C1), Polish (B1), German (B1) and Italian (A2).
