Prof. Dr. Recep Keşli
Medical Microbiology Specialist, Medical Genetics Specialist
Dr. Keşli graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine with the title of Medical Doctor (M.D.). He completed his Specialization in Medical Microbiology at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology. Subsequently, he earned his Ph.D. in Medical Biology and Genetics from Afyon Kocatepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, obtaining the title of Medical Geneticist (Ph.D.). In addition, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Sociology from Istanbul University Faculty of Open and Distance Education. Dr. Keşli also completed the Phytotherapy Practitioner Training Program organized by the Ministry of Health, receiving the Phytotherapy Practitioner certificate. Throughout his career, Dr. Keşli has served as a principal investigator or co-investigator in more than 40 projects. He has published a total of 86 articles, 60 of which were in international journals. Additionally, he has presented 166 oral or poster presentations, including 96 at international congresses. Furthermore, Dr. Keşli has authored one book in Turkish, contributed as a chapter author in one international book, translated chapters in three international books, and authored chapters in two Turkish books. He has also served as a reviewer for 74 articles, including 67 in international journals. Moreover, Dr. Keşli holds positions as an editor, associate editor, or editorial board member for 10 international medical journals. Dr. Keşli is a member of the Bactivac Network, an International Bacterial Vaccination Network supported by the University of Birmingham and the Royal Society of Medicine in the UK, which includes 710 scientists from 46 countries. Currently, Dr. Keşli serves as a faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology at Biruni University Faculty of Pharmacy. He is also the President of the Microbiota and Immunology Association and the founder of FitoBiyota Health Laboratory Biotechnology Food Cosmetics Inc.. Dr. Keşli focuses his research and development efforts particularly on the human gut microbiota, elucidating the pathogenesis of autism, and developing products and applications aimed at alleviating behavioral disorders associated with autism. Dr. Keşli is married with three children and has advanced proficiency in English.
