Asst. Prof. Sinan Şermet

Asst. Prof. Sinan Sermet graduated from Maltepe Anatolian High School in 2001 and from Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy (as an honour student) in 2005. He completed his M.Sc. degree with thesis at Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences Department of Pharmacology in 2008, and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology (as an honour student) in the same department in 2022. Asst. Prof. Sinan Şermet worked in the pharmaceutical industry between 2006-2009 and worked in Ankara between 2009-2010 in the Ministry of National Defence Pharmaceutical Plant Command as a Pharmacist Lieutenant as part of his military service in the T.R. After completing his military service, he worked as the owner and responsible manager of Merdivenköy Pharmacy between 2011-2022. In 2022-2023 Academic Year Fall Semester he worked as a Lecturer Dr. of Pharmacology at Istanbul Arel University Faculty of Health Sciences. He gave Pharmacology courses to Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Nursing departments. As of February 2023, he started working in Istinye University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences, Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, as an Asst. Prof. Sinan Sermet is also a copy editor of Marmara University's scientific journal, Journal of Research in Pharmacy (JRP), within the scope of ESCI, and conducts researches and academic studies in the fields of diabetes mellitus, neurodegenerative diseases, molecular oncology and rational use of medicines. Asst. Prof. Sinan Sermet has been accepted to Istinye University Institute of Graduate Education Molecular Oncology Doctorate Program as of January 2023 and is doing his second doctorate education. Asst. Prof. Sinan Sermet is very fluent in English and fluent in German and French. Asst. Prof. Sinan Sermet has completed and ongoing BAPKO and TÜSEB related projects in which he is a researcher. Asst. Prof. Sinan Sermet's publications have received over 40 citations so far and have an h-index of 2.
