ABBREVIATIONS IN SUNSCREEN AND SKINCARE PRODUCT LABELS
| Abbreviation | Meaning |
| SPF | Sun Protection Factor – level of protection against UVB rays |
| PA+++ | UVA protection level (the more +, the higher the protection) |
| UVA | Long-wave ultraviolet rays that cause skin aging |
| UVB | Short-wave ultraviolet rays that cause burning and DNA damage |
| Broad Spectrum | Provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays |
| Oil-Free | Does not contain oil – suitable for oily and acne-prone skin |
| Zinc Oxide | Physical filter – may leave a white residue but is safe |
| Titanium Dioxide | Physical filter – suitable for sensitive skin |
| Blue Light Protection | Protects against blue light (phone, screen) |
| Antioxidant-Rich | Protects skin from free radicals |
| PABA-Free | Does not contain PABA – reduces allergy risk |
| Water-Resistant | Indicates that it is water resistant |
| Non-Comedogenic | Does not clog pores – will not cause acne |
| Hypoallergenic | Formula reduces allergy risk |
