Abbreviation Meaning
SPF Sun Protection Factor – level of protection against UVB rays
PA+++ UVA protection level (the more +, the higher the protection)
UVA Long-wave ultraviolet rays that cause skin aging
UVB Short-wave ultraviolet rays that cause burning and DNA damage
Broad Spectrum Provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays
Oil-Free Does not contain oil – suitable for oily and acne-prone skin
Zinc Oxide Physical filter – may leave a white residue but is safe
Titanium Dioxide Physical filter – suitable for sensitive skin
