The medical term is “cat scratch disease” (CSD). The phrase “cat scratch fever” is also commonly used and generally refers to the same condition, most often caused by Bartonella henselae. In some contexts, specific presentations may be named separately—for example, ocular involvement can be described as Parinaud oculoglandular syndrome—but the core disease is still considered a form of CSD.
