Modern DAA regimens can cure hepatitis C in most people with very high SVR rates, but medicine rarely offers a literal “100% guarantee.” Outcomes depend on adherence, cirrhosis status, prior treatment failure, drug interactions, and in some cases resistance-associated factors. With correct regimen selection, consistent dosing, and appropriate monitoring, the probability of cure is very high. Even after cure, reinfection is possible because SVR does not provide vaccine-like immunity.
