WHAT DO THE ABBREVIATIONS ON DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS LABES MEAN?
| Abbreviation | Meaning | Explanation |
| RDA | Recommended Daily Allowance | The recommended daily intake amount. (RDA 100% = full daily dose) |
| NRV | Nutrient Reference Value | Nutrient reference value; an EU-compliant system (updated form of RDA). |
| DV | Daily Value | The daily percentage used in the U.S.; seen as %DV on labels. |
| IU | International Unit | Dosage unit used for vitamins A, D, E, etc. |
| MG/MCG | Milligram / Microgram | Indicates the weight of substances: 1 mg = 1000 mcg |
| GMO-Free | Genetically Modified Organism-free | Indicates the product does not contain GMO ingredients. |
| Gluten-Free | Gluten-free | Indicates the product is suitable for celiac patients and does not contain gluten. |
| cGMP | Current Good Manufacturing Practices | A quality standard that shows the production was carried out in a hygienic and controlled environment. |
| USP | United States Pharmacopeia | An independent certification that tests the purity and safety of ingredients. |
| EFSA | European Food Safety Authority | Products evaluated by the European Food Safety Authority. |
| TİTCK | Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency | The regulatory body responsible for supplement control in Turkey. |
| FDA | U.S. Food and Drug Administration | The authority in the United States responsible for regulating dietary supplements, but it does not approve them. |
| HALAL / KOSHER | Compliant with Islamic / Jewish dietary laws | Indicates the product complies with religious dietary rules. |
