Sunscreen can be used on eczema-prone skin and is often recommended. Since UV exposure may stress the skin barrier, sun protection is important. However, product selection should be careful. Fragrance-free, dermatologically tested sunscreens designed for sensitive skin and preferably containing mineral filters may be better tolerated. Testing a new product on a small skin area before full application may also be helpful.
